Delish Purses

When your lady wallet is full to the brim with loose change, it is time to get yourself a coin purse. (Even if this is not the case, these are so cute we could probably find various uses that warrant buying one!) We've been seeing a lot of these sweet little pouches shaped like various sugary treats and we love how fun they are! The Kate Spade ice lolly is so summery and that macaroon looks good enough to eat! We love!

Window Flowers

There's nothing like the sun shining through the window in the morning to get you off to a good start to the day. If you want to add an extra spring to your step, why not line your windowsill with some beautiful, fragrant flowers. The light shining through the petals is a thing of beauty and the scents that waft in with the breeze are heaven! We love the idea of using different coloured vases and bottles for and extra special light effect!

Not so Teenie Weenie Bikini

It's that time of year again when many of us are shopping around for the perfect swim wear for the summer season. One thing we've had our eye on this year is the high-waisted bikini, they're so retro and right on trend. They're also a lot more flattering than the tiny skimpy numbers that were on the catwalk a few years ago! We say the bigger the better, do it Bridget Jones style this season! We're on the hunt for the boldest pattern we can find to team with a big hair bow and our retro sunnies. Any of these beautiful styles would fit the bill perfectly!

I Heart Marshmallows

At a craft fair recently we sampled some delicious home made marshmallows. They were like no other marshmallow we've ever tasted and we were dying to create some for ourselves. When searching the internet for recipes we stumbled across these beautiful little desserts. They're so simple and so effective, all you need is a heart shaped cookie cutter and some little flags made from cocktail sticks and pretty paper. Perfect for a dinner party or afternoon tea with the girls!

SHORTCAKE BASE125g butter
3/4cup icing sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 1/4cups self-raising flour
PINK MARSHMALLOW
1 cup cold water
3 drops red food colouring
1 tbsp gelatin powder
1 cup sugar
1 egg white
1 cup icing sugar
Heat oven to 160C and grease a 17 x 27cm slice tin. Place butter and icing sugar in a bowl and beat together until pale and creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla, then the flour.
Press this shortcake mixture into the base of the prepared slice tin and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to cool.
Place the cold water and food colouring in a saucepan and sprinkle over the gelatin powder. Add sugar then bring to the boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Boil gently for eight minutes, then remove from the heat to cool a little.
Place the egg white in a clean bowl and beat until soft peaks form. Beat in the icing sugar, and then slowly add the warm gelatin mixture. Continue beating until marshmallow is thick and fluffy. Spread marshmallow topping over shortcake base and leave to set. Cut into slices when cold.

Acrylic Chairs

We've been fans of these pretty pieces of plastic for a long time now and I'm not sure why we haven't covered them already! The transparency makes them the ultimate minimal accessory for any room and yet they still have so much presence. We particularly like the lilac ones, the Lilly Loray office may be in need of a summer makeover! No desk is quite complete without one.
